Biography

I am Dr. Isa Arji, a faculty member in the Department of Horticultural Science and Engineering at Razi University.

Education

I completed my B.Sc. in Plant Production from Tehran University in January 1995. I went on to earn my M.Sc. in Horticultural Science and Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University in August 1998, followed by a Ph.D. in Horticultural Science and Engineering (Pomology) from the same university in the Spring of 2003.

Professional Career

My professional career began in October 2003 with the Research and Education Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources of Kermanshah Province. I subsequently transferred to Razi University of Kermanshah in September 2020, where I currently serve as an Associate Professor in the Department of Horticultural Science and Engineering, within the Faculty of Agricultural Science and Engineering.

Teaching Experience

My university teaching experience commenced in 2001 at the University of Kurdistan, and I have maintained collaboration with Razi University since 2003.

Since transferring to Razi University, I have instructed a diverse range of undergraduate courses, including:

At the postgraduate level, my regular teaching commitments include:

  • Nutrition and Metabolism in Horticultural Plants
  • Plant Growth Regulators
  • Management of Biotic and Abiotic Stresses in Plants

Research and Publications

My primary research interests focus on key areas within horticultural science, specifically: Fruit Tree Physiology, Fruit Tree Breeding, Breeding and Physiology of Fruit Tree Roots, and Environmental Stress Management in Horticultural Trees and Plants.

I actively engage in knowledge dissemination, having conducted numerous workshops on fruit tree cultivation for gardeners, agricultural experts, and students. Furthermore, I have authored and co-authored (with colleagues and supervised graduate students) over 80 articles in reputable domestic and foreign journals within these research domains.
